Mouthwash

Many people believe that rinsing with mouthwash can replace brushing. However, this is not true. The bacteria in the oral cavity are tightly adhered to your teeth and can be removed only mechanically—that is, by brushing.

  • Avoid continuous use of mouthwash, as it negatively affects the natural flora of your mouth.
  • Do not use mouthwash right after brushing, as it inactivates the toothpaste. When you do use it, make sure it’s at a different time from brushing and that it is alcohol-free.
  • Regular use of mouthwash can alter the color of your teeth and negatively impact the entire oral cavity (cheeks, gums, tongue).

In any case, use the appropriate mouthwash only when and as recommended by your dentist.
